Al-Maliki and the President of the Republic: The importance of supporting the government’s efforts in implementing the ministerial program and developing infrastructure

Baghdad / Obelisk: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met, on Saturday, January 7, 2023, with former Prime Minister and head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki.

The meeting discussed the general conditions at the national level and their developments politically, security and economically, and the need to consolidate security and stability in the country and strengthen the unity of the national ranks to overcome challenges and resolve outstanding issues in a way that achieves the supreme interest of the country and citizens.

The importance of supporting the government’s efforts in implementing its ambitious ministerial program was emphasized, especially those directly related to living and service needs and requirements, and the development of basic infrastructure.

In this context, the President of the Republic stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work to complete projects necessary to provide services to citizens.

His Excellency also talked regarding the field visits he made to a number of governorates to see their conditions, referring to the needs of their people, and the importance of developing performance in all governorates.

For his part, Al-Maliki expressed his support for these field visits and a close look at the conditions of the governorates and the obstacles that stand in the way of developing their conditions.
