Al-Khasawneh discusses with his Palestinian counterpart developments in the situation in Gaza

Amman – The Jordanian Prime Minister discussed, with his Palestinian counterpart, today, Sunday, developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian issue, and they agreed to hold a meeting of the Jordanian-Palestinian Higher Committee soon in Amman.

During the meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Al-Safadi, at the Prime Minister’s House in Amman, Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh affirmed: “Jordan’s firm and firm position, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, regarding supporting legitimate Palestinian rights, calling for an immediate cessation of the brutal Israeli aggression once morest Gaza, and transitioning To a political horizon that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with full and complete sovereignty, on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution.”

The Jordanian Prime Minister described his Palestinian counterpart, Muhammad Mustafa, as “the efforts led by the King to stop the brutal Israeli aggression once morest Gaza, and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid in an adequate and sustainable manner and to all areas in the Strip.”

Al-Khasawneh stressed that “Jordan deals with the Palestinian issue as a Jordanian issue by virtue of history, geography, and close ties.”

He added, “Commercial relations are good and we always strive to strengthen them in a way that serves the aspirations of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. The electrical interconnection project between the two countries is progressing well and according to what was planned, while always looking forward and working to find new horizons to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.”

The Prime Minister and his Palestinian counterpart agreed to hold a meeting of the joint Jordanian-Palestinian Higher Committee soon in Amman, to discuss prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
