Jerusalem: Al Jazeera journalist reporting on Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been threatened by an unknown source.

Al Jazeera reporter Yumna Al Saeed received a threatening message over the phone claiming to be in the Israeli army.

Al Jazeera reported that Al Saeed said the phone call came from a private number. He was threatened to leave his home immediately as Israel intensified its bombardment of Gaza.

‘This is the Israeli army. We ask you to flee Gaza. Because there is going to be a big danger in the area where you live in the coming hours,’ Al Jazeera reporter Al Saeed said the unidentified man said from the sound of explosions.

At the same time, they confirmed that no phone calls have been received from the six other families comprising around 100 people living in the building.

“Like us, none of the other six families received a warning call from the Israeli army. So this was a direct threat aimed only at us.

Salah al-Din Street, which connects northern Gaza with the south, is under heavy bombardment.

It would not be the right decision to run away risking the lives of others including children. How is it possible to flee when the bombardment is constant? There are no other options before us now,’ she added.

The threatening message comes to the journalist of Al Jazeera following Israel killed the family of Al Jazeera journalist Al Dahdouh.

Dahduh’s wife Amna (44), son Mahmood (16), daughter Sham (7) and grandson Adam were killed in the Israeli attack.
CPJ (Committee to Protect Journalists) has reported that 29 journalists have been killed in the war zone.
