KUWAIT: Sources in the health department revealed that Al Jahra Hospital is facing many problems and challenges including shortage of nursing staff, medicines and others. Health Minister said that these problems will be solved as soon as possible. Ahmed Al Awadi has assured.
He made this clear in a meeting he held a few days ago with officials of Jahra Health District in the presence of the Director, Hospital Director, Chief Medical Staff and several heads of departments.
The hospital authorities explained to the minister that the shortage of nursing staff is now threatening the lives of patients. She opined that Kuwait has become a transit country for the nursing profession.
Hospital officials also told the minister that there is a practice for those working in intensive care and other specialties to work in Kuwait for a few days before going to other countries.
