Yemen – The Houthi group announced, yesterday, Tuesday, an American-British bombing targeting the coastal governorate of Hodeidah, western Yemen.
The sources reported in breaking news that “the American-British aggression launched a raid on the Ras Issa area in the Al-Salif District in Hodeidah Governorate,” without providing further details.
There was no comment from Washington or London regarding this matter until 17:30 (UTG).
Hodeidah is classified as one of the most important Yemeni governorates, as it contains three vital ports, an international airport, and military camps, in addition to having a long coastal strip.
Earlier Tuesday, US Central Command announced the destruction of a Houthi march that was heading towards two American ships in the Red Sea.
This came hours following the Houthi group announced that it had targeted two American destroyers in the Red Sea and an Israeli ship in the Indian Ocean with drones.
“In solidarity with Gaza,” which has been facing a devastating Israeli war with American support since October 7, the Houthi group, since November, has begun targeting Israeli or related cargo ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones, stressing its determination to continue its operations until the end of the war on the Strip.
In response to these attacks, since the beginning of this year, Washington and London began launching air strikes and missile attacks on “Houthi sites” in Yemen, which the group responded to by announcing that it now considered all American and British ships among its military targets, and expanding its attacks to ships passing through the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. .
