Al Hilal’s hopes of retaining the Saudi Professional League title for the third consecutive season received a severe blow, following it suffered a shock 0-1 loss once morest its host Al Fayhaa, in a match postponed from the nineteenth stage of the competition.
The balance of Al Hilal, who won the title in the past two seasons, froze at 49 points, to remain in second place, 11 points behind Al Ittihad Jeddah “the leader”, knowing that the blue team still has another match postponed.
On the other hand, Al-Fayhaa’s tally rose to 33 points in sixth place.
Sami Al-Khaibri played the championship role in the match, following scoring Al-Fayhaa’s only goal in the 33rd minute, while Al-Hilal was unable to score at least the equalizer during the remaining time of the match, to win its third loss this season.
This loss came to stop Al Hilal’s series of victories that continued in its last six matches in the competition.
