Some Spanish media reports revealed the latest developments in the negotiations between the management of the Saudi club Al-Hilal and the Argentine star, Lionel Messi, regarding contracting him during the upcoming summer transfer period.
Messi’s contract with his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, is scheduled to expire next June, and the player has the right to move to any club for free.
Felix Diaz, a journalist for the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, said in his statements to the Saudi “Sbc” channel: “As I assured you previously that Ronaldo will play with Al-Nassr, I assure you now that Messi will play with Al-Hilal in the next season.”
He added, “The two deals ended a few days ago. Messi and his Argentine teammate Angel Di Maria will lead the Al Hilal attack in the new season.”
Diaz explained: “Messi’s father and his entourage say that Messi’s return to Barcelona is complicated. Paris will announce Messi’s departure days following the end of the season, following which he will announce his arrival to the Saudi club Al Hilal.”
When asked regarding the fact that there were negotiations between coach Luis Enrique and the management of Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, he said: “Enrique made his decision earlier that he would not train in the Saudi League.”
And he concluded: «Busquets, by a large percentage, will also be in Al-Hilal next season, the player wants to be with Messi».
