Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Tweeters circulated a video clip on Twitter showing Al-Hilal club fans chanting in the name of Lionel Messi, following the team’s confrontation with its counterpart Al-Nasr in the Riyadh derby, on Tuesday evening.
The supporters of the “Blue Crescent” chanted “Messi…Messi” when Cristiano Ronaldo and his companions entered the floor of King Fahd Stadium, to warm up, before the start of the Al Hilal and “Al-Alamy” match in the 25th round competitions in the Saudi “Roshan” league competition.
And press reports had claimed that the “Blue Crescent” was working to attract the Argentine star in the upcoming summer transfer market, without any official confirmation on the part of the Saudi club and the French player Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi’s contract, 35, expires with the Parisian club at the end of the 2022/23 season, giving him the possibility of moving to another team.
