Al-Hilal and the Saudi youth will compete for the first card, for the King’s Cup final, when they meet today, in a strong match at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, while tomorrow they will meet for the second card, Al-Fayhaa and Al-Ittihad, the league leaders.
Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab are the third match between them this season, as they met twice in the league, the first ended in a 2-2 draw, while Al-Hilal won the second with a big score 5-0.
Al Hilal aspires to confirm its superiority over its neighbor, and in the last 17 matches in various tournaments, it won 12 and drew in 5 matches.
Al Hilal is looking to reach the final for the seventeenth time in the history of the tournament, and then search for the tenth title, while the youth hope to stop the “blue tide”, reach the final for the seventh time, and then think regarding the fourth title in its history.
Al-Hilal qualified for the semi-finals, following beating Al-Raed 2-0 in the final price, before overcoming the obstacle of its neighbor Al-Nasr 2-1 in the quarter-finals, while Al-Shabab qualified, following its great victory over Damak 5-0 in the final price, before Al-Ahly narrowly beats Al-Ahly 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
Al Hilal has been running perfectly since his contract with Argentine coach Ramon Diaz, as he has not lost or tied in any match, where he achieved 7 consecutive victories, including one in the King’s Cup.
“Blue” seeks to continue its series of victories and reach the final, especially as it enters the match with complete ranks, with the exception of the absence of Peruvian Andy Carrillo, who was injured with his country, who will enter an international play-off to qualify for the World Cup 2022.
Al-Ittihad is seeking to reach the King’s Cup final for the nineteenth time in its history, when it is a guest of Al-Fayhaa, tomorrow at Al-Majmaa Sports City Stadium.
The two teams had never met in the King’s Cup, but they met in the Crown Prince Cup in 2014, and then Al-Ittihad succeeded in winning a clean four.
In this season, the two teams met in the league twice, during which they exchanged wins, as Al-Fayhaa won 1-0 in the first leg and Al-Ittihad in the second leg 2-0, and each of them is looking forward to eliminating the other from the cup and securing their place in the final.
