The final designs for the Al-Ansar Hospital project, located east of the Prophet’s Mosque and in the vicinity of the Roaa project, have been approved, which is the first project of its kind to be implemented by the Ministry of Health in partnership with the private sector on an area of 13,000 square meters.
The Ministry of Health had announced the start of the first stages of offering the establishment and operation of Al-Ansar Hospital in Madinah, in partnership with the private sector, in order to maintain the sustainability of free services provided to all beneficiaries, as the Ministry completed the necessary studies and legislation with the support of the National Center for Privatization of the initiative implemented by the “Health” and which falls under The privatization program is “one of the executive programs of Vision 2030”, where the new hospital will be built with a bed capacity of 244 beds, with an innovative design and construction that enables doctors to provide the best quality services to patients.
It is noteworthy that the launch of Al-Ansar Hospital is the first practical model for the initiative of private sector participation in the field of establishing and operating hospitals, as this hospital represents a special importance due to its location adjacent to the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, which made it provide service to all visitors to the Holy Mosque for 35 years, and the project is in line with the increased demand for the service. The expected increase in the number of pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.
Al-Ansar Hospital partnership achieves one of the goals of Vision 2030 related to increasing the share of the private sector in providing health services, improving infrastructure, raising safety standards and managing health facilities, as it is expected that a number of Ministry of Health hospitals will be offered for private sector participation.
