Abdulaziz Al-Anbari, coach of Khor Fakkan (Al-Nusour), explained his difficult loss once morest Al-Ain (Al-Zaeem) in the round of 16 of the President’s Cup.
Al-Zaeem excelled with a single goal in the 73rd minute, signed by Falah Walid, to advance to the quarter-finals.
Al-Anbari said, “In the knockout matches, you need to take advantage of any opportunity to score a goal, but perhaps Al-Ain has served its changes in this aspect.”
And the citizen coach continued, “The Eagles players worked hard, but they might not return to the score following the goal due to exhaustion, as they had also played a big match just 4 days ago.”
Al-Anbari defended his team, stressing, “Despite the loss, Khorfakkan does not lose while it is in a bad position, but rather it is trying.”
And the retired Emirati international added, “But the next stage requires a lot of work from everyone, and a return to the positive results … we need the presence of all our players, as we played an important match once morest the leader, and we missed some elements.”
