The Director of the Kuwait Center for Mental Health, Dr. Kholoud Al-Ali, reassured the health condition of the doctor, who was assaulted while performing his professional duty.
Dr. Al-Ali explained that the doctor’s condition has been closely followed up since the attack, and it has become reassuring and improving, expressing deep regret over this reprehensible and unacceptable behaviour.
Al-Ali praised the efforts of the center’s staff, including medical, nursing, technical and administrative staff, and their keenness to perform their duty and noble mission according to the best quality standards required.
Dr. Al-Ali stated that in the interest of the safety of workers and auditors, the center has requested to extend the working hours of the security police point to be around the clock, seven days a week, pointing in this regard to the support and assistance of the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustafa Reda, and coordination with the Ministry of the Interior on this matter.
Al-Ali stressed that the safety of workers and auditors is a red line that cannot be tolerated, pointing out that the center follows up all legal procedures that guarantee the right of the doctor and the center.
