Al Ain Municipality has implemented 5 programs to maintain and improve the efficiency of Al Ain’s roads, including 13 city streets, truck roads and external roads.

According to reports, the city has completed maintenance work on four roads and is carrying out work to improve the efficiency of the remaining roads in accordance with the project plan that started in January last year and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Through these projects, the municipality aims to maintain roads and their safety, improve their performance, facilitate traffic, improve traffic service levels and enhance traffic flow in the city in accordance with international best practices and standards, making these roads sustainable and Provide users with a high level of security.

The municipality confirmed that the project work includes improving the efficiency of pavement on new truck routes as well as improving the efficiency of external roads and urban roads in various areas of Al Ain. , development of a stormwater drainage network, and corrective maintenance including clearing the asphalt layer and creating acceleration and deceleration lanes.

The city’s roads plan includes developing and improving the efficiency of some traffic intersections, as well as creating cycle lanes.

“The maintenance and efficiency improvement program includes Tahnoun Bin Muhammad Road, Al Taf Road and Hazza Bin Sultan Street projects to improve paving efficiency for new truck routes,” the municipality explained.

In terms of external roads, construction has started on Al-Taf Road and Al-Ajban Road, with a total length of 48 kilometers, and is currently under construction, with a total length of 13.90 kilometers.
