AKTOR, a member of the Intrakat Group and one of the most historic construction companies in Greece, is from today the naming sponsor of the Asteras Tripoli football team, which will henceforth be called ASTERAS AKTOR.
The sponsorship agreement was presented today at a press conference, with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors. and Managing Director of PAE Asteras Tripoli, Mr. Georgios Borovilos, the coach, Mr. Milan Rastavac and the team leader, Mr. Nikos Kaltsa, while AKTOR was represented by the Vice President of the Board of Directors. Mr. Loukas Karalis and the General Director of Communication of AKTOR, Mr. Giorgos Tsaprounis. The Mayor of Tripoli, Mr. Kostas Tzioumis, was also present at the event.
Presenting the new commercial partnership, Mr. Borovilos noted that this is a milestone in the group’s history, as Asteras adds a strong partner to its side. ASTERAS AKTOR, as the group will be called from now on, shares a common vision, path and characteristics with AKTOR, such as consistency and continuity, he emphasized.
And he added that ASTERAS AKTOR and AKTOR, “build their future – no one gave it to them”. “We join forces and open a new chapter in our history. From today, AKTOR puts another star in its lapel: Our Star” concluded Mr. Borovilos.
At the same time, the coach of the team, Mr. Milan Rastovac, emphasized that this cooperation is a big step towards the development of ASTERAS AKTOR and comes to strengthen the team, in order to bring new successes. While the leader of the team, Mr. Nikos Kaltsas, described the day as important for the team, as it brings a new, strong partner, while he expressed his wish for an upward trajectory and a new successful start.
For his part, the Vice President of the Board of Directors of AKTOR, Mr. Loukas Karalis noted that the most historic construction company in Greece meets one of the most historic teams in the region and expressed his enthusiasm for upgrading their cooperation to the next level. And he underlined AKTOR’s ties with Arcadia and the Peloponnese, where the company has built and is building very important infrastructure projects that change people’s lives. “We see this partnership as more than just a sponsorship. We consider it an investment in tomorrow” he said and wished that this collaboration would bring good luck to ASTERAS AKTOR.
The General Director of Communication of AKTOR, Mr. Giorgos Tsaprounis praised the role of ASTERAS AKTOR in the local community of Tripoli, as it offers an outlet for young people through sports.
“It is something that gives strength and value and is a legacy for the future” he emphasized and added that AKTOR supports local communities and initiates the creation of new actions for young people and sensitive social groups in the region. And he concluded by saying that this collaboration is an honor for both parties.
