DeepCool has announced the AK Zero Dark Series. This is a continuation of the AK series. The Zero Dark series includes the AK620 Zero Dark, AK400 Zero Dark and AK400 Zero Dark Plus models. As the name already suggests, the coolers have been given a black coat of paint.
The AK400 Zero Dark Plus features a matrix fin design with a top cover for an unobtrusive appearance. DeepCool’s AK400 Zero Dark Plus features four 6mm direct contact copper heatpipes. Two DeepCool 120mm FDB PWM fans are included with the AK400 Zero Dark Plus. The combination should be able to handle up to 220 W.
According to their own statements, the two DeepCool fans should maximize airflow and static pressure. The dynamic PWM range is specified as 500 to 1,850 rpm. Due to the built-in FDB bearing, both high stability and great reliability as well as a long service life should be guaranteed.
Deepcool’s AK400 Zero Dark Plus has a height of 155 mm. In addition, it is possible to remove the top cover. This reduces the overall height of the cooler to 153 mm.
An improved installation method is achieved thanks to an all-metal bracket and a five-step process. The cooler is compatible with the latest sockets from AMD and Intel.
The AK620 Zero Dark is an all black version of the AK620. Said cooler has a matrix fin dual tower and two FDB fans. A convex bottom plate and six heat pipes running along two high-density fin stacks provide up to 260 watts of heat dissipation capacity. The all-metal mounting bracket is easy to install, according to the manufacturer.
The manufacturer’s recommended retail price for the AK400 Zero Dark is 40 euros. The AK400 Zero Dark Plus costs 45 euros. If you want to call the AK620 Zero Dark your own, you have to put 75 euros on the table. The AK Zero Dark series will be available in stores in October 2022. The guarantee is three years.
