The computer failure of the air traffic controller Skyguide, which led to the closure of Swiss airspace for several hours about two weeks ago, will undoubtedly have cost the Swiss company “several million francs”.

At present, the amount of damage is still being assessed, and the white cross carrier is considering seeking compensation from Skyguide. “If we suffer financial damage beyond our control, it is our duty to do so,” said Swiss boss Dieter Vranckx on Thursday from the columns of the “Handelszeitung”.
