THE National Awakening Party (PKB) has spoken out about Airlangga Hartarto’s resignation from the position of Golkar Party General Chairman. PKB Congress Committee Secretary Zainul Munasichin said his party is preparing anticipatory steps so that a similar thing does not happen in their party.

“Yes, for PKB, in my opinion, God willing, we are safe. So there is no interference,” said Zainul at the PKB DPP office, Jakarta, Monday (12/8).

“I think that for PKB is the dynamics that exist in Golkar and we still respect what happens in Golkar. Because that is the household of each party,” he added.

Zainul emphasized that PKB remains focused on the implementation of the sixth Congress which will be held in Bali on 24-25 August.

“God willing, the PKB Congress will run smoothly, safely, and happily. So there is nothing to worry about,” he said.

Airlangga officially resigned from the position of General Chairman of the Golkar Party since Saturday night, August 10, 2024. The decision was taken after careful consideration and to maintain the integrity of the Golkar Party. (P-5)
