THE prospective candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Banten, Airin Rachmi Diany and Ade Sumardi, underwent a health check at the Banten Regional Hospital in Serang City to fulfill the requirements to become participants in the 2024 Pilkada, Saturday (31/8/2024).
Airin hopes that the health examination process will run smoothly in order to meet the requirements for determining Pilkada participants.
“Hopefully everything will run smoothly according to expectations, so that God willing, we will soon be appointed as candidates for governor and deputy governor,” said Airin.
The Airin-Ade couple underwent a health test starting at 07.00 WIB, and during the press conference they still wore special medical gowns.
The former Mayor of South Tangerang admitted that he had fasted, had blood drawn, urine tested and blood pressure measured beforehand.
“In addition to this, there will be several stages that will be carried out by several specialist doctors, of course in the context of the need for health tests and psychological tests and others,” said Airin.

Airin was accompanied by relatives and friends during the health test. While Ade was accompanied by his wife and mother, as well as other family members.
“Of course, this stage is part of the requirements that must be taken by prospective candidate pairs, both governor and deputy governor, as mandated by laws and regulations. To ensure physical and mental health, both related to drug abuse and others,” said the Chairman of the Banten Province General Election Commission (KPU), Mohamad Ihsan.
Previously, the Banten KPU received the registration files of two prospective gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate pairs, namely Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi, and Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah.
After registering, the two prospective candidates received a health test referral letter. The Airin-Ade pair underwent the health test on August 31, while Andra-Dimyati underwent the health test on September 1, 2024. (Ant/P-3)
