(Archyde.com) – Airbus said on Tuesday it was canceling its forecast for plane deliveries for 2022, while maintaining its financial targets, citing a complex operating environment and following reporting 68 deliveries in November.
The aircraft manufacturer said in a statement that “its target of reaching ‘approximately 700’ commercial aircraft deliveries in 2022 is now out of reach”.
“The final figure should not be significantly lower,” he added.
The group has also indicated that it wants to adjust the production rate of A320 family aircraft for 2023 and 2024 to 65 per month. Airbus still expects to be able to produce 75 per month by the middle of the decade.
Airbus had warned last Friday of a risk to its delivery targets following disappointing estimates for November.
