A Swiss plane bound for the United States had to turn around on Saturday afternoon over the North Sea. Indeed, flight LX38, which took off on Saturday around 1 p.m. from Zurich for San Francisco, had to land at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam around 4 p.m., reveals “20 Minuten”.

In question, a medical emergency on board, as explained by a spokesperson for Swiss to our colleagues. The crew therefore decided to make an emergency landing in Amsterdam in order to be able to treat the patient there. The flight was then to continue as planned to San Francisco.

According to the Swiss spokeswoman, the incident caused a delay of about an hour.
