In the Chernihiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine, bordering Russia, an air raid alert has been declared, follows from a resource for alerting citizens. According to the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli, explosions are heard in these regions.
From the online map of the alert resource, it follows that an air raid alert in two Ukrainian regions was announced around 22.20 Moscow time. Later, the air raid spread to the Poltava and Kirovograd regions. In the Chernihiv region, the air raid alert was canceled at regarding 23:30 Moscow time.
On the night of May 3, Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kyiv. The air raid alert sounded in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region, as well as in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions. The head of the Kirovograd region of Ukraine announced a fire at an oil depot in the city of Kropyvnytskyi.
