The Government of Canada issued a recall Friday morning of certain models of Cosori brand air fryers, which pose a fire hazard.
“Immediately discontinue use of the recalled product and contact Cosori to obtain a replacement,” read the statement posted on the federal government’s website.
So far, the Cosori company has reportedly received 205 reports, including 56 in Canada, of air fryers catching fire, burning, melting or overheating and releasing smoke.
“The company also received 23 reports of minor property damage globally and 10 reports of minor superficial burns, including 4 reports in Canada,” the government said.
