Air France: the Cayenne – Belém extended, 2 new A350s seen

The airline company Air France will ensure throughout the winter the link between Cayenne et Bethlehem inaugurated in the spring, and saw in Toulouse two of its next Airbus A350-900which will be called “Nantes” and “Orléans”.

Launched last May, the weekly rotation of the French national company between Cayenne-Felix Eboue and the airport of Belém-Val-de-Cans/Júlio Cezar Ribeiro has been confirmed for the 2023/2024 winter season, still operated by Airbus A320 which can accommodate 12 passengers in Business class and 156 in Economy. Departures are scheduled from the end of October on Fridays at 3:40 p.m. to arrive at 5:15 p.m., with return flights leaving Brazil on Saturdays at 9:20 a.m. to arrive at 10:55 a.m.

Air France has no competition on this route, the plane following “a Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Cayenne, Belém route, allowing customers from Guadeloupe and Martinique to also reach Brazil without having to change aircraft “.

The alliance company SkyTeam stresses in a press release that this line “responds to strong demand from our customers on the regional network. It contributes to offering new travel offers and prospects for economic development with our Brazilian neighbour”.

Air France already serves the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro et Fortalezaall departing from Paris-CDG.

On the fleet side, while the delivery of its first A350-900 equipped with the new cabins is approaching (the 21st of the 41 ordered, F-HUVA), two other copies were seen by spotters this week in Toulouse: the one which should be the 24th, registered F-HUVD baptized “Nantes”, and the one which should be the 25th (F-HUVE « Orléans).

Remember that the next A350s, which will be able to accommodate 48 passengers in Business class, 32 in Premium and 212 in Economy (292 seats once morest 324 currently), should enter service from next month.
