Air France Announces Return to Pre-Covid Capacity for Winter 2023-2024 Season

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The airline Air France, a subsidiary of the Franco-Dutch group Air France-KLM, announced Thursday that its network would return to a similar level of activity during the 2023-2024 winter season. from that of winter 2019, i.e. before the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a press release, Air France specified that it would regain 98% of its 2019 capacity in seat kilometers offered on long-haul flights this winter.

During the winter season, which will begin at the beginning of November and end at the end of March, Air France will serve 167 destinations in 79 countries.

The carrier’s winter schedule is marked by a 20% increase in service to North America compared to 2019, as well as a 60% increase in service to Asia compared to winter 2022- 2023, said Air France. However, service to Asia will remain below its 2019 level.

Air France also announced the opening of two new routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle: Raleigh Durham, in the United States, and Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
