Today, the completely renovated Air&Rail Terminal of Air France and KLM was officially put into use by Marjan Rintel, CEO of KLM, Pieter Jan Kleiweg de Zwaan, Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the EU and François Sénémaud, French Ambassador to Belgium. The Air&Rail Terminal is located in Brussels South station and offers an attractive lounge for travelers. Air France and KLM continue to invest in their Air&Rail offering between Belgium, France and the Netherlands, with more than 4,500,000 seats on 93,000 high-speed trains since the introduction of the service in March 2001.
For almost 20 years, Air France and KLM have been offering their customers to and from Belgium a fully integrated service, allowing them to combine their train and air travel in the same booking. Thanks to the Air&Rail offer, travelers have a single booking for their entire trip and a guaranteed seat on the next available flight or train, free of charge, if their flight or train is delayed. Special teams help Air France and KLM travelers in the stations.
Members of Flying Blue, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM, receive all the benefits associated with their status: earn miles, priority check-in thanks to the SkyPriority service, access to the Eurostar Lounge at Brussels South station, additional baggage allowance and free access to seat options on board their flight. Air France customers with a connection in Paris-Charles de Gaulle have the added benefit of having their luggage checked through from Brussels South station to the final destination of their trip. KLM customers benefit from SkyPriority in transit at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, giving them priority for check-in, boarding and baggage handling, as well as priority at security checkpoints and immigration.
Since 2022, KLM customers who connect at Schiphol can check in online from 30 hours before departure for their entire journey, including train journeys with Eurostar. This saves time. Travelers can check in up to 30 minutes before departure. Air France customers receive a 1st class seat on board TGV INOUI. KLM Business Class customers take a seat in Premium class on board Eurostar trains.
This summer, a 7th daily high-speed service will be added on the route between Brussels South and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Combined Air&Rail tickets are available via www.airfrance.be, www.klm.be, at the ticket desk at Brussels South station or via any travel agency. The Air&Rail Terminal is open daily from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm.
