The Air Force reported that the Huey II helicopter was found in a rural area of ​​the municipality of Cumaribo, “after carrying out an exhaustive search mission.”

“There are no survivors,” the institution indicated. Eight people were traveling in the device.

The accident occurred in the early hours of this Sunday. Images broadcast by local media show the helicopter burned and destroyed in the middle of a grassland.

The crew was carrying out an aeromedical evacuation mission in the municipality of Cumaribo, in La Vichada, about 750 kilometers east of Bogotá, the report added.
