The deal also includes options for 12 additional Boeing 787-10 aircraft.

The airline expects to begin receiving its new aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2025, with delivery of the last aircraft scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The order announced Monday replaces an earlier agreement for two Boeing 777 cargo planes.

The 787-10 is the largest model in the Dreamliner family, Air Canada said, and can carry more than 330 passengers depending on seating configuration.

It also has a cargo volume of 175 cubic meters.
