Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is committed to realizing the goals set forth by the International Education Day.
International Education Day calls on all countries to work together to become sustainable societies and to provide quality education at all levels and provide adequate educational opportunities for all.
In an interview given to Qatar News Agency on the occasion of International Education Day, Assistant Under Secretary for Education Maha Al Ruwaili said that the ministry is developing different educational programs from pre-university level to university education and the ministry aims to ensure quality education for all without leaving anyone behind.
Education plays a major role in helping citizens to make better use of their energies and talents. Maha Al Ruwaili added that the government is trying to invest in the people by considering education as a public responsibility and in accordance with the directives of the great leadership.
Al Ruwaili also noted that these efforts have helped put Qatar in the top quality index of international educational institutions. The Assistant Under Secretary pointed out that Higher Education is committed to making quality education accessible to all and making schools beacons of knowledge.
Every year January 24th is celebrated as International Education Day under UNESCO. Education is the most important and best way to progress societies and achieve sustainable development.
It is everyone’s right and basic need of every person. She said that the message of this day is the principle that education is the most important building block for the development and progress of any country and any front.
