The lack of regulation of image generation using artificial intelligence has been giving rise to talk in recent times. For now, it is a lawless land and X (Twitter) has been one of the main platforms used to broadcast this type of content.
This time, the target was Taylor Swift, but the technology was no longer harmless following producing explicit pornographic content with the singer’s image. Thousands of fans, the swifties, didn’t let it go and came to the singer’s defense, denouncing pages and uploading content that exalts her career to positively fill the network and take the focus away from other content.
The term “Taylor Swift AI” was among the most searched for in the world and has now been replaced by “Protect Taylor Swift”, which already has more than 24 thousand publications. The commotion began following an account published pornographic content regarding the singer this Tuesday (24), which received 5 million views and more than 50 thousand likes.
Numerous accounts have published content focused on female celebrities in erotic situations, but fans have reported them and the profiles have been suspended for violating the platform’s policy. X’s policies regarding non-consensual nudity explicitly prohibit this type of content from being hosted.
The company is currently being investigated by the EU over allegations that it is being used to “spread illegal content and disinformation” and is being questioned over its crisis protocols. Here in Brazil, there are already intentions to start regulating this type of technology, even more so with municipal elections approaching.
