A 45-seater bus is equipped with an LED display that can transmit candidate logos and promotional videos.

Yesterday (15) at around 5:20 pm, two men, a bus driver in their 50s and a local election chairperson in their 60s, were found unconscious in this vehicle, which was stopped near the Cheonan Terminal in Chungnam, and were taken to the hospital, but eventually died.

“The driver reported to the police box in the city that he could not be reached, and when I went to the front of the terminal… I opened the (bus) door and went in. The two were unconscious and were rushed to the hospital.”

It is believed that carbon monoxide leaked from the self-generator that was running in the luggage compartment to operate the LED signboard installed on the bus and suffocated.

In Wonju, Gangwon-do, the driver fell in critical condition in a similar accident and is being treated at the hospital.
