MONCLOVA, COAH.- Three months following the company Altos Hornos de México stopped producing and was completely paralyzed, and following managers and shareholders did not clarify the direction of the industry to the workers, nor did they give dates for payment of benefits and wages, a mega march is being prepared in the city of Monclova.
With the mobilization, the workers will demand an explanation from the businessmen of what is happening and will call on the authorities of the Federal Government to solve the conflict of the company, on which 17,000 families in the Central Region of Coahuila depend.
“A possible bigger manifestation of other levels, stronger is being handled”, said Gerardo Flores Escobedo, spokesman for the National Democratic Union of Mining, Metallurgical, Steel and Related Workers.

Businessmen, merchants and other inhabitants of the region, who are being affected by the default of payments by the steel company, will also be invited to the march.
“We are not just the workers of Altos Hornos de México, it is part of the citizenry that is suffering from the situation that exists in the company”said Flores Escobedo.
ASK FOR LEGISLATIVE SUPPORT
The spokesman said that in this movement the call will be made for senators and deputies to unite from their spaces, so that the authorities that can support collaborate so that the company can stabilize and return to operating as in previous times.
“We want the deputies, senators who are from Coahuila and whom we have supported, to be with us, but we want them to take the stage, and to raise their voices in the Chamber of Deputies and Senators, so that they assert their voice as representatives of the workers and of all the communities of Coahuila”said.
“That their voice becomes stronger, that they intercede in other places where we cannot yet reach, they are at a higher level, where they can expose what is happening here in Monclova, we do not want them to come to the union and talk with us, We want them to intercede, that they have to move things with whoever has to move them so that a faster solution can be found”, commented.
