As a bowling coach, my ⁣role is to focus on developing our bowlers and contributing to the team’s success. Decisions regarding player selection ultimately lie with the head coach, and we all work under ⁣their guidance.

**Host:** So, you’re saying there was no concerted effort to sideline these players?

**Waqar Younis:** Precisely. It’s important to remember that selections are⁤ based on form, fitness, and team needs.

Selectors and ⁣coaches have to ⁤make tough choices based on what they believe ⁤will benefit⁤ the team at any given moment.

**Host:** Ahmed⁣ Shehzad also cited injuries as a factor⁤ in his decline. Do you think ⁢those injuries played a significant role?

**Waqar Younis:** Injuries are unfortunately a part of the game. Every⁢ player faces them at some point.

However, it’s crucial for players to work hard on ⁢their fitness and rehabilitation to overcome these challenges and ⁣return ⁤to their best.

**Host:** Thank you for clarifying your position, Waqar. ‌We appreciate⁣ your ‍time.
