Ahead of La Liga 2024/25, Real Madrid: “Aim to win all titles”

The big transfer of the summer is predicted a bright future in Real Madrid

The 2024/25 La Liga season is now finally underway and we at SvenskaFans have taken the time of the teams ahead of the premiere. Real Madrid’s SvenskaFans editor, Mehran Mahmoudi, gives us the details ahead of the start of the season for the reigning champions.

It was ultimately a very successful season last year for Real Madrid. In the league, until the beginning of the spring season, they were threatened by Girona at the top, but soon Los Blancos showed why they are most champions when they made a title move that lasted all the way to May. In addition to the league gold, they also won their fifteenth (!) Champions League title after dismissing Borussia Dortmund in the final. Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Júnior received the most attention in a season that was the last of Toni Kroos’ career. Now a new exciting season awaits, where Real have once again succeeded in spearheading the squad ahead of the premiere.

Real Madrids transfersommar:

Players in:

Endrick, striker – Palmeiras (€47.5m)

To find out how the situation is at Real Madrid ahead of the season, I have enlisted the help of SvenskaFan’s Real Madrid editor Mehran Mahmoudi.

Five out of five, you rated Real Madrid’s season last year, which ended in three golds: the Super Cup, La Liga and the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti chose to continue for one more season and thus steers the gold team this time around as well. What conditions do you think exist in Real Madrid to continue the golden rain from last year? And what goals do Los Blancos have when the new season is about to begin?

There are all the conditions to win all the titles. Ancelotti can’t complain and there isn’t much missing. Real Madrid always aims to win all the titles.

Vinicius has got a new playmate in the form of Mbappé, set up for success?

The Kylian Mbappé saga has finally come to an end and the Frenchman is now a Real Madrid player. In addition to Mbappé, the excited Endrick has also joined from Palmeiras. At the same time, Toni Kroos has put his shoes on the shelf and Nacho left for a game in Saudi Arabia. How do you rate the transfer window so far? What is there to say about the new signings and are there still any flaws in the team that you think should be patched up?

The transfer window has been good. It can always be better, but Ancelotti and Perez trust the players they have. The only thing I would have liked is for them to sign a centre-back. Or a midfielder. But if it doesn’t happen, so be it. Mbappé has had a good start at the club. Just keep going like this.

Which players would you highlight as key figures in Real Madrid’s 2024/25 squad? And is there any talent or other player that you think we should keep an extra eye on during the season?

Hard to see that just one player has to be healthy for Real to win games. It’s run a Vinicius and Mbappé in form goes a long way. But all players are important. I would say that Arda is the player to keep an extra eye on. Exciting to see how far he can go.

Can Arda Güler get his big break this season?

In the premiere, Real Madrid face Mallorca away at San Moix. How will it go in the premiere and does the team feel ready to kick off the new season?

Premieres are always tough for Real Madrid. Won’t be easy at all. Real will have to fight for three points. Real is ready to start this season. A title against Atalanta is a good kick for what is to come.

What are your thoughts on La Liga in general this season? What do you think the top and bottom look like?

La Liga feels more ticklish this year. Atletico Madrid have signed well with Julian Alvarez, Le Normand and Gallagher. Barca are on the move with their youngsters and have signed Olmo. Real has got Mbappé. I think La Liga will get more eyes on it this year. At the top, I think we will find Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barca. For me, on paper, Real Madrid should draw the longest straw.
