Nine months following the femicide of María Agustina Fernández, Silvina Capello, the victim’s mother, assured that Pablo Parra, accused of the murder, “has certain privileges” in the establishment where he is detained. The complaint was made following the discovery of an Instagram account that the defendant would supposedly manage.
At the end of March, Verónica Contreras de los Santos, a clairvoyant who was summoned by Capello to help with the cause, published on her social networks that had discovered an Instagram profile that would be from Parra. “I wonder: being a murderer of an innocent young woman, so much freedom to do and undo regarding useless justice can the cipoleño who killed destroying Agustina’s face have,” Contreras de los Santos wrote on Facebook while sharing an image of the alleged defendant’s account.

And he added: “The murderers are the ones who should never have any privileges or contemplation of anyone. Justice fixes murderers who allow these scourges to live better than people from which a loved one is taken away. There is no forgiveness.”
In response to the publication, Capello wrote: “He destroyed his face, his head. So much hate? Why?”, At the same time he wished that Parra, whom he described as “filth”, would “rot in jail “. “I work to have to see that the State feeds the murderer of my daughter“, he stated in another message. However, in dialogue with L.M. Cipollettithe victim’s mother might not confirm that the Instagram account is managed by the defendant.
Despite not being able to corroborate the origin of the profile, the woman stated that within the prison the defendant “has certain privileges.” “I want you to know that we found out regarding everything. It is a privilege for him to be in prison because of the way they have him. He is not sharing a place with the other prisoners and is incommunicado with the rest of them,” he said.
In this sense, he assured that Parra “is having a better time than all of us” thanks to the supposed benefits he enjoys in jail. “We all know that it was handled as he wanted and I want everything to be cut here. We are not going to create laws on how the Penitentiary Service has to treat inmates, but they have to cut it. They are laughing at us as citizens. The guy is having a better time than all of us, who work,” he said.
And he added: “I do not wish him death, but that they do not allow him anything in there. It’s a lot of angerespecially knowing that he was loose when we already had proof that he was my daughter’s murderer”.

According to Rio Negro Newspaperone of the referents of the Assembly Not One Less Cipolletti explained that Capello received information that Parra has been isolated from the rest of the inmates since he entered Penal Execution Facility No. 5, where he is being held while waiting for the investigation period for the crime to expire. Along these lines, the reference detailed in dialogue with that medium that “he is in a separate dungeon, in a mailbox, as they call him. He has no contact with the rest of the inmates“. “If he’s one more inmate, why isn’t he with the rest? Someone is protecting him,” she said.
Consulted regarding the prison situation in Parra, the Ministry of Security and Justice of the province of Río Negro explained to Rio Negro Newspaper that the Criminal Execution Law does not allow mixing the convicted and the prosecuted. “If the defense requested a pass from a common population, justice is who should approve it, it is not a decision that is the responsibility of the prison service, but if he were convicted and isolated there, the claim would be justified,” they detailed.
