As part of the Youth Agricultural Investment Support Project (PAIAJ), the Ministry of Grassroots Development, Youth and Youth Employment organized with the support of the African Development Bank, the second wave of the training of around sixty young agricultural entrepreneurs (JCE) in Atakpamé in the Ogou prefecture.

This workshop, held from April 4 to 8, 2023, aims to provide the necessary assets to young operational entrepreneurs to help them better manage their businesses in terms of accounting, financial education, planning and relations between staff. This for a good productivity in order to make profitable and perpetuate their activities.

Participants were also provided with tools on strategies to establish a favorable climate for good productivity, and the role of labor inspection and its relationship with companies.

The approach adopted made it possible to put the participants in an exemplary business environment to give them the opportunity to get to grips with the realities of a large company and to increase their ambitions to enhance their potential and their business.

During the work, the participants established an action plan following each module.

PAIAJ’s value chain development expert, Mr. Kluvi Komlan and the Regional Plateaux Coordinator of the National Grassroots Development Support Agency, Mr. Redah Alain explained that this training will help young first-time entrepreneurs to boost and make their various businesses prosper.

They congratulated the recipients for the special attention given to the said training. Certificates of participation were also awarded to the JCE at the end of the training.

The participants came from the regions of Kara, Centrale, Plateaux and Maritime. They specialize in the collection and hauling of organic soybeans, the collection and slaughter of small ruminants and poultry, and the processing of cassava.

As a reminder, a refresher course on taxation, the qualities of an entrepreneur and the estimation of costs had been initiated for them last October.
