Agreement reached between government and Jamaat-e-Islami – Pakistan

The fifth round of negotiations between the government and Jamaat-e-Islami has ended today, an agreement has been reached between the two parties.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ata Tarar reached the Commissioner’s office for negotiations, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present with him. Apart from them, Commissioner Rawalpindi and RPO Rawalpindi also reached Commissioner House to participate in the discussions. Prime Minister’s media coordinator Badr Shahbaz Waraich was also included in the government’s negotiation team.

On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem and Liaquat Baloch participated in the talks.

According to Liaquat Baloch, the government has also agreed on the TORs of the task force that any expert from the public-private sector will be selected, including WAPDA chairman and auditor chairman, a private firm and a chartered accountant. Matters will be looked into by hiring.

He said that the task force will submit its recommendations to the Prime Minister in a month.

He said that all matters have been settled by the government, the government will ensure the implementation of the agreement, the agreement has been signed by Atta Tarar and Mohsin Naqvi.

Liaquat Baloch said that the burden of the salaried class will be reduced, the electricity bills will be reduced in any case, the price of the unit will be reduced in the next one and a half months, and a committee will be formed to address the concerns of the traders.

On this occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that we have promised to give relief to the people, we have also promised to reduce the electricity prices, you will see the electricity prices coming down soon.
