Agnieszka Guz, a celebrity designer from Sandomierz, and her 15-year-old son Tytus died tragically in an accident that occurred on Wednesday, September 18, near Olsztyn.
The accident occurred on the S7 route, between Nidzica and Olsztynek towards Gdańsk. A semi-trailer tractor hit a passenger car that had broken down and people standing nearby. Junior Asp. Jacek Wilczewski told PAP that “very preliminary findings indicate that two or three people were probably pushing a Volvo vehicle along the S7 route”. The 37-year-old truck driver died at the scene, as well as two of the four people in the passenger car, a 49-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy. It soon turned out that the last two victims were Agnieszka Guz, a designer of Polish film and stage stars from Sandomierz, and her son Tytus. The designer’s husband and her 11-year-old daughter were injured in the accident.

On Sunday, September 22, the designer’s loved ones published a post on her Instagram account: “It is with deep regret and pain that we inform you that on September 18, 2024, Agnieszka and Tytus Guz tragically died. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Church of St. Joseph on July 25, 2024 (Wednesday) at 2:00 p.m. After the funeral service, the urns will be placed in the grave at the cathedral cemetery in Sandomierz. The rosary for the deceased will begin in the church at 1:30 p.m.,” it was reported.
“No words… It’s hard to find them in the face of such a tragedy. My deepest condolences to your family and loved ones. Agusia, I will always carry you in my heart,” wrote Anita Lipnicka, who was dressed by A. Guz.
Agnieszka Guz also designed for Natalia Kukulska, Edyta Górniak, Beata Sadowska, Kinga Rusin, among others. Her collections were used in photo shoots for women’s press, as well as in the production of television programs and music videos, e.g. Patrycja Markowska. She was also a laureate of the Elle Style Awards in the category of best Polish designer.
