The changes at the AT of Agios Anargyro after last Monday’s (04/04/2024) femicide that shocked the country were sweeping.

Since there was no patrol car available at the Department, we told her that we can call Immediate Action.”
“In a few minutes we heard someone shouting, slaughtered her, slaughtered her”
As the officer reports, the 28-year-old girl told them that she would take the “100” herself and got off with the young man who accompanied her to the entrance of the department. The deputy commander went to her office and then she says she heard voices in the street.
“I went to my office and after only 2-3 minutes, I heard someone shouting “slaughter slaughter her”. Then we all ran to the ground floor, to the entrance of the Department and saw the girl who was previously on the Service Officer’s desk, lying face down and a “river” of blood running. The girl was briefly conscious, but then not.
We called the E.K.A.B., we called the pharmacist from the neighboring pharmacy, where she found that he had no pulse.”
After a few minutes, the officer reports, the EMS arrived and found the girl dead and took the perpetrator who had injured himself with the same knife. The incident, the police officer says, happened about two meters from the department’s point of view.

The officer who was on duty on the fateful April Fool’s night last Monday, when the deceased Sunday was fatally stabbed by her ex-partner outside the Agios Anargyro Police Station, gave a frame-by-frame account of everything that happened from the moment the an unfortunate woman arrived at the AT, in order to ask for help, complaining that the 39-year-old was watching her.
In her testimony, she also referred to the moment when Kyriaki asked for a patrol car to accompany her and her boyfriend to her home, stating characteristically: “My colleague explained to her that at that time there was no department patrol car available to take her to the her house and I told her that she can’t get into a police car, unless 100 is called, in order to give a meeting point or her house or the police station, so that they can go to her house together.”

The questions that arise are many and among them why the operator of the Immediate Action told the 28-year-old Sunday that “the taxi is not a patrol car” when she called outside the AT of Aghii Anargyri.
The man who was in Immediate Action and spoke to the 28-year-old on the fateful night served in a police station in Athens and joined Immediate Action in October when an attempt was made to reinforce the call center.
The police officer was asked by his colleagues what the phrase he said to the unfortunate girl meant: “The patrol car is not a taxi.”
His answer was that he said it in the course of the speech, he does not remember it and he said it because the image he had was that the danger was in her house and not in the department.

“A man and a young woman came to our service, who told me that I was afraid of a person and I referred them to the duty officer for arrest […]. I heard the man accompanying the woman say “he’s pushing her”.
I immediately came out of the lookout and saw the woman and another man clinging to her body, from behind, walking slowly, approaching the lookout, without seeing his hands at all.
Then the other man moved a little away from the woman and then I realized he was holding a large knife, pulling it from her back and the woman falling down.”
The report states that from the analysis made of the footage from the security cameras of the police station, it appears that as long as the girl was being stabbed by the 39-year-old, the policeman never came out – purpose from the hood. It comes out when the 39-year-old injures himself and falls down on the pavement.
