The information was confirmed by the mayor of Lavardac, Ludovic Biasotto. Seven children, educated in the nursery school of the commune, suffer from viral pneumopathy. The state of health of three of them deteriorated requiring care by the emergency services of the Agen-Nérac hospital center, between this Sunday and last night.
“I was informed yesterday of this situation. The child of my deputy in charge of schools was hospitalized”, specifies the mayor of Lavardac.
Children tested negative for Covid-19
All seven children were tested for Covid-19. A screening that turned out to be negative for all the children. Information once more confirmed by the first magistrate.
Of the seven children, four are educated within the reception system for children under 3 years old, two others are in the small section and another in the middle section.
The sub-prefect, the academy inspection or the Regional Health Agency have been seized of this situation.
The Lavardac mayor has closed “until further notice” this reception of children under 3 years old in kindergarten. The parents pick up the children at midday. “It will be closed this Tuesday,” we said yesterday at midday.
Reassuring news
Late yesterday followingnoon, the three children were still hospitalized. However, the news was “reassuring”. The transfer to the Pellegrin hospital center – a time considered – has been ruled out.
For its part, the academic inspection confirmed “that in view of the elements transmitted by the Regional Health Agency, there was no reason to close the class”.
This was confirmed by the mayor of the town of Lavardac indicating that the “structure would reopen its doors from Thursday morning”.
