Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition receives cooperative campaign mode

In October 2020, Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition arrived, the remastering of a game that the original version had a hard time detaching itself from the shadow of the title that preceded it. This new edition improved many of the things that the original had been criticized for, but one of the main things that was not present was still missing: the cooperative mode in story mode. But that just changed.

Although this is not the complete campaign, the last update of Tantalus of the game allows two players to join forces to face enemy armies in the 12 historical battles that the game offers, which includes all the maps that incorporated the DLCs.

The update also includes an increase in AI difficulty and the inclusion of another CPU-controlled opponent. To enjoy this new mode, all you have to do is select the “cooperative battle” option from the multiplayer screen and then choose to make the game public or private, just like in a conventional multiplayer game.

It is certainly good to see that following the arrival of Age of Empires IV, the previous deliveries keep getting updates, being that the number of users who still enjoy them is far from being low.
