Before becoming one of the most popular presenters in France, Agathe Lecaron had tried her luck in Belgium. The 48-year-old young woman first cut her teeth on NRJ, then on AB3 and finally on RTL-TVI. But the host does not seem to have kept good memories of her time on the private channel… In an interview published by Le Figaro, Agathe Lecaron defines her Belgian career as her “loose years”.

As she explains to our colleagues, she felt invisible next to “former misses” and “with huge breasts, enveloping faces.” The presenter adds: “I was not entrusted with anything. As soon as I did a casting, I was told that I looked like a bitch. One day, a boss explained to me that I was not popular, that it would never work for me in Belgium.

During’an interview she gave us, the host told us that she did not feel out of place on RTL-TVI. “I found myself on a channel where we mainly do entertainment when I was not made for that, even if I had no legitimacy as a journalist either. There, we were already badly! At the limit, I could have made games, it was a genre that suited me well, but it is rather men who present this kind of program. It was a bit complicated. Finally, RTL was not the place where I should be”, she admitted.
Finally, Agathe landed at TF1, M6, France 5 and France 2. She is now at the helm of the program “La Maison des Maternelles”, where she advises young and future parents, but also of the rendezvous bien be “Bel&Bien”, as well as the new version of Masterchef.
