AGASA warns against fake controllers –

In an announcement made on its Facebook account, the Gabonese Food Safety Agency (AGASA) calls on economic operators in the bakery and pastry sector to be extra vigilant in the face of repeated acts of scams and growing fraud committed by corrupt citizens.

Through this communication, the Gabonese Food Safety Agency announces that following its recent press release concerning the ban on the sale of cakes from unapproved bakeries, malicious individuals are posing as official AGASA controllers.

These counterfeiters, AGASA emphasizes, issue false documents to entrepreneurs in the sector, creating dangerous confusion and undermining the implementation of food safety measures in Greater Libreville in particular.

“AGASA strongly condemns these fraudulent practices, which not only hinder the careful work of the Agency, but also endanger public health. The agency therefore calls on all economic operators to exercise increased vigilance in the face of these false controllers”lit-on.

Pending the results of the legal actions taken against these individuals, AGASA invites entrepreneurs to exercise extra caution and to contact its competent services directly in case of doubt, on 011442133, to verify the authenticity of the agents in question and the administrative documents that are issued.

AGASA recalls that food safety is a national priority and that it counts on everyone’s collaboration to guarantee the health and safety of consumers.
