Kinda Laen continued its dominance on the big screen by reaching 5 million viewers. This achievement was obtained after Agak Laen screened for 15 days in cinemas.
Imaginari as the comedy film production studio reported that Agak Laen’s audience figures reached more than 5 million as of Friday (16/2) at 12.00 WIB.
“Until 12.00 WIB, 5,000,000++ viewers are enough, haven’t they given Naomi and Bene a wedding at the palace?” wrote the Imaginari account announcement which took references from the film.
This achievement strengthens Rather Laen’s position as the highest-grossing 2024 film so far. This film, directed by Muhadkly Acho, surpasses Ancika: He Who is With Me 1995.
Because, Ancika stopped at 1.2 million viewers from when it aired on January 11 2024 until a few weeks later.
The acquisition of 5 million viewers also made Agak Laen even more soaring in the ranking of the best-selling Indonesian films of all time.
After entering the top 10, the comedy film is now in seventh place. Laen is somewhat able to replace Sewu Dino (2024), Laskar Pelangi (2008), and Habibie & Ainun (2012) which previously filled ranks 7 to 10.
If you can maintain the trend in the number of viewers, it is possible that the top five positions can be achieved by Rather Laen in the next few days.
