PP PBVSI summoned 14 female players to face the South Korean team, Red Spark, in an exhibition match which is scheduled to take place at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan Jakarta, on April 20.
The 14 players called up are:
- Khalisa Azilia Rahma (East Java),
- Latifa Nisa Az-Zahra (DI Yogyakarta),
- Ratri Wulandari (West Java),
- Aulia Suci (Nurfadila (West Java),
- Mediol Stiovanny Yoku (East Java),
- Ajeng Viona Adelea (East Java),
- Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah Sugandi (West Java),
- Shella Bhernadeta Onnan (West Java),
- Agustin Wulandhari (West Java),
- Maradanti Namira T (DI Yogyakarta),
- Yolla Yuliana (West Java),
- Hany Budiarti (DKI Jakarta),
- Dita Azizah (DKI Jakarta), and
- Sania Clarissa Putri (West Java).
They are expected to join in Jakarta, two or three days before the match initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
“We hope that the children will have joined two or three days before the exhibition,” explained PBVSI Secretary General Heyzer Harsono in his statement, Sunday (17/3).
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of PBVSI Achievement Development, Loudry Maspaitella, who is also the national team manager, said that his squad to face Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi et al from Red Spark was a shadow team for the women’s national team in the future.
“Later there will definitely be patchwork in the national team. This is still a shadow team,” added the former captain of the Indonesian men’s national team.
According to him, all the players who were summoned were the result of monitoring several events that have taken place so far in Indonesia. “We’ll see later,” he continued. (Z-6)
