“This is an outrage,” says city councilor Katrin Auer (SP), who immediately informed the police. As early as mid-June, unknown perpetrators had daubed the protective path with black paint. This time the act is particularly perfidious, as the resistance struggles and the exceptional athlete Otto Pensl were commemorated at the weekend. “The run in the Münichholz district was a complete success with more than 100 starters, including children and wheelchair users,” says City Councilor Auer. A repetition is planned. No time was measured during the run, but seven kilometers were completed at a leisurely pace and in memory of Pensl’s legacy. A stele was installed and ceremoniously inaugurated at the vocational school in Pensl’s honor.
