The President of the Egyptian Zamalek Club, Mr. Hussein Labib, came out to talk about the possibility of holding a new championship match in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, between the Egyptian Zamalek and the Spanish Real Madrid, after the former won the African Super Cup against the Egyptian Al-Ahly in the Kingdom Arena on Thursday, and Labib said: “It will be a historic match, and we will really ask for it, in order to make the fans happy.”
He added: “Everyone thought that Al-Ahly went to Riyadh for an outing, and I don’t know how to say that. Zamalek is great, and Gomez was able to create motivation for the players, and we won the cup deservedly. We won twice in the last 3 confrontations against Al-Ahly, so Gomez is a professional coach and has a system that he follows.”

He continued his conversation and said: “Bentaik’s abilities have been questioned and there is a campaign against the Zamalek Club. I ask everyone to leave the club’s officials to work in order to complete the successes. I am proud of the Zamalek players and the technical staff, and we were able to achieve great successes.”
He ended the conversation and said: “The 2024 African Super Cup against Al-Ahly will remain in the memory of many people like the 1994 Super Cup. The African Super Cup reward will help Zamalek, and if we need to support some centers, we will conclude new deals.”
