Ch.Rajkumar Rao is an actor who is very careful regarding choosing and succeeding in different roles in his film career. Two of these films are horror films. The actor also starred in horror films Ragini MMS and Stree 2. But he revealed that in real life, some horror series and films scared him a lot.
For Ranveer Allahabadia’s YouTube channelIn an interview, Rajkumar Rao spoke regarding his childhood fear. He said that he felt a lot of fear while watching TV serials like Zee Horror Show, Sh…koi Hai and Aahat. After watching these shows, I haven’t even gone to pee without taking my mother with me. When he goes to the bathroom, he stops his mother outside. Rao remembered him saying he knew you were there and that at that age it was all regarding feeling.
In the interview, Rajkumar Rao also shared his experience watching the horror film Exorcism of Emily Rose. “I saw this film while I was studying at the Film and Television Institute of India. I watched Exorcism in an almost empty theater and felt like a Hollywood biopic. There was no only six people in the theater with a big screen seating 1,000 people. I had no idea it was a horror movie. I was sitting inside feeling scared and trapped. It was enough to end somehow, I felt like I was following the film,” said Rajkumar Rao.
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat was my batchmate and hostel roommate. By the time Jaideep was going out and coming back, I must have fallen asleep. After watching The Exorcism, Emily felt like she was on her bedroom table. There were two paths to follow. Either invoke Jaideep, who is absent, or face fear with courage. Rajkumar Rao added that it was a feeling and decided to face the fear thinking that there was no one there.
