To the supply disruptions that have affected TotalEnergies service stations since Monday, there are now to be added those that affect mass distribution.
The strike which began on Tuesday in the refineries of the TotalEnergies groups and the one which has been going on for three weeks in the Esso refineries, as well as the drop in fuel prices at Total service stations continue to affect the supply of fuel in the whole country.
Since Tuesday, only two refineries in mainland France out of seven are still in operation, in Lavéra (Bouches-du-Rhône) and Donges (Loire-Atlantique).

As a direct consequence of the situation, a large number of retail service stations, in particular at the Leclerc, Système U and Casino brands, which are supplied by these groups, are out of supply this Friday.
To overcome this partial shortage, the TotalEnergies and Esso-ExxonMobil groups are drawing on their large reserves, and ensuring that there is no shortage of fuel while the two companies are importing fuel.
At the microphone of France Info, this Friday, Olivia Grégoire, the Minister in charge of Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade, reported that 15% of service stations are now out of supply and promised an improvement in the situation of here at “a few days”.
“From next week, it will be better, the time that the fuel arrives in particular from the Benelux [Belgique, Pays-Bas et Luxembourg]”said the minister.
To deal with the situation, the government announced measures, in particular the authorization of circulation of tanker trucks, Sunday October 9th.
“We are in the process of improving the situation, it will take two or three days a priori. On the basis of what the tankers can repatriate from Belgium and from Rouen, and to facilitate things, we are releasing part of our strategic stocks “, declared, assured Thursday evening on BFMTV, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the Minister of Energy Transition.
