Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Dubai Police, expressed his admiration for the statements made by Henry Kissinger, the former US Secretary of State regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
I liked Henry Kissinger and his talk regarding the Ukrainian crisis..In clear words, he was telling the Ukrainian president to reach an understanding with the Russians and solve your problems.
This came in a tweet by Khalfan on his Twitter page, where he said: “I like Henry Kissinger and his talk regarding the Ukrainian crisis. With clear words, he was telling the Ukrainian president an understanding with the Russians and solving your problems.”
Kissinger had sparked wide interaction during the past two days, following his statements on Tuesday, in which he suggested that peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia aim to establish borders in the Donbass as they existed on the eve of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began in February.
“Negotiations must begin in the next two months before there are disturbances and tensions that will not be easily overcome,” Kissinger said. “Ideally, the dividing line should be a return to the previous situation,” apparently indicating that Ukraine Agree to give up a significant part of Donbass and Crimea.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded in a video message, Wednesday, saying: “No matter what the Russian state does, there are those who say: Let’s take its interests into account, this year in Davos, he heard once more, despite the thousands of Russian missiles falling on Ukraine. And despite the tens of thousands of Ukrainians who are being killed, despite what happened in Bucha, Mariupol and other devastated cities, and the liquidation camps set up by the Russian state in which they are killed, tortured, raped and humiliated.”
