Barcelona president Joan Laporta brought happy news to his club’s fans following announcing the name of the next player on the management’s list of contract renewals.
This came in statements carried by the newspaper “Sport”, during which he confirmed that the player is Jaffe, and that the process of negotiating his new contract is constantly evolving.
“Araujo is one of the elements of that new generation of his with Pedri, Nico and Fati,” Laporta said. “We hope to hear good news regarding Xavi soon.”

The Catalan club president added, stressing that the club is working hard to renew the young star: “The work is going on at the moment, but there are specific steps.”
Previous reports had confirmed that Jaffe had rejected the first offer made to him by the Barcelona administration in order to renew his contract with the team.
The young star is one of the main pieces of the Catalan club’s squad this season, as he played only 29 matches in the Spanish League, in addition to 13 other matches in the King’s Cup, the Super Cup, the Champions League and the European League.
It is worth noting that Jaffe’s current contract expires at the end of next season, and he is entitled to leave for free in the summer following next without returning to the club’s management.
